Pink... Thin Line between "Sanskaar" and "Questionable Character"..

First, we need to take a bow at all people who involved in making this film.

From the title, you would assume that film must be related to something about Womens' concerns. Yes, it is. And there we stereotype "Pink" colour as womanly, along with infinite lists of codes, to be followed by women in daily life. Whether she should friendly with boys or not, whether she should party or not, whether she should drink/smoke or not... etc...etc.

Shoojit Sircar has come up another fantastic score, after Vicky Doner, Madras Cafe and Piku. This time, he continued with Big B, after a success of Piku.

A Storyline of this cinema is neither "new" nor 'something different' type. It is the story of Elderly Lawyer Dipak Sehgal (Amitabh Bachchan), defending 03 Girls, who are accused of an attempt to murder and prostitution. Follows courtroom drama, in which facts are twisted by Rajveer (Angad Bedi) who had actually tried to molestate one of the girl.

Despite, Film comes out as a strong piece of art, which will be embossed on your mind. Collective performance of Taapasee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra and our "Shehanshah" Amitabh Bachchan makes this Movie as an "Unforgettable".  In courtroom movies, dialogues are the essential catalyst. So, we must give credit to Ritiesh Shah for the well written screenplay. Some scenes are just so amazing that your heart drowns in the emotion of a moment.

In Bollywood, we have come across many of films based on courtroom drama which includes heated arguments/emotions in courtroom. Right from "Taarikh Pe Taarikh" dialogue waala "Damini" to recent movie "Rustom". We can rate "Pink" in top three of this category. If you remember, Big B had previously been in "Black Coat" as a lawyer, in film "Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007)". Even after 09 years down the line... He Still is a Boss in this character.

Music by Shantanu Moitra is lovable and lyrics compliments story. Song "Kaari Kaari" delves our heart with its melody.

Closing Argument of Film (by Adv. Dipak Saihagal), Underline the meaning of "No" from Woman. "No" is not just word.. It is the sentence.. It is her opinion.. It is her decision.. It means she just "DON'T" wants to be touched. She might be your daughter, sister, friend, lover, sex worker or even your wife. Just Respect Her Decision. There is the very thin line between "Code" and "Sanskaar". We all needs to respect each other's freedom.

My special credits to the artist, who have designed title of this movie. It is just so meaningful and creative.

One Suggestion.. Please don't leave the theatre without listening to Poem at the end of movie credits.. "तू खुद कि खोज में नीकल.." narrated by Amitabh Bachchan Ji.
